Comments from a dog person: Although this hotel is very near the main road (Thain), it's easy to miss the turn. Once you find it, it's simple to return to. Must go through Lobby areas to get to room. There are no major parks nearby for dog walks but there are a few areas for potty breaks. Lots of eatery choices within walking distance. Maybe 10-15 minute drive to the Fairgrounds.

Comments from a dog person: This hotel seems to have good spaces outside for walking dogs on potty breaks. Room doors open directly to outside and you don't have to go through a Lobby to get to your room. Location is on a main route and is about 3 minutes' drive to a nice public park near the water (near the Flying J) and about 15-20 minute drive to Fairgrounds. You'll need to drive to nearby restaurants (and the public park), although they aren't far.

Comments from a dog person: You won't need to walk though a lobby to get to your room. However, this hotel is inbetween two busy streets near "downtown". There is some dog walking area across the street, near the water, but it's a bit tricky to get to the first time. Other than hiking across the street, there isn't much room for doggy potty breaks. A couple of restaurants within walking distance, others within driving distance nearby. Fairgrounds is about 15-20 minute drive. Said to offer free Wifi.

Dog walk area is a bit tricky to find for the first time, but after that, it's easy and enjoyable if you like walking alongside the banks of a river. Next door to good Italian restaurant. Other eateries nearby but probably require driving. Limited parking area. About 15-20 minute drive to Fairgrounds.

Comments from a dog person: You won't need to go through a lobby to get to your room. Good size parking lot but limited parking. Very dog friendly. X-Pens allowed outside your room on grass. They have a permanent fenced kennel set-up on the property for guest use (about 10 x 20 area, 4 ft fence). Nearby public park offers gorgeous walk along the river and plenty of area for dog potty breaks. Several restaurants within walking distance. About 20-25 minutes drive to Fairgrounds. Said to offer free Wifi.
